Yamaha Demo Day 25th --26th May --Bank holiday weekend
A big thank you to the boys from the boat shop Rainham and Yamaha for a brilliant day Sunday even though the weather was rubbish they still turned up and spent the day on the water letting members test there new range of yamaha jetski, unfortunately Monday was a blowout with 60mph winds and rain, But Ray and Simon From the Boatshop Rainham have said that they will come back down in June, Lets hope the weather is better, we will let you know when they will be back, you can visit the boat shops website on our links page, so if you are looking for a new Jetski, outboard, Boat or wetsuit, ringos or oil etc visit there website or give them a ring, they stock pretty much everything you need.
Club Boat Stickers
Please dont get offended if you get asked about displaying your club boat stickers, if you were not aware the membership secretary position has changed and consquently there have been a few teething errors, some people received there stickers ok some did not, if you did not get stickers please ask a committee member and they will sort you out some stickers, As you know every member should display their stickers on their boat, the reason we are having a purge on club stickers is threefold, it is a way of telling who is a member and who is not, Also it is a requirement from the river baillif, when you are on the water the river baillif or the police can see if you are a club member, this then tells them if you have insurance and where you launched from, we have had a few case's where members have sold their boat or jetski to a member of the public who has then been seen speeding in the moorings or abusing other water users, the club can then tell by which sticker is displayed whether the ski or boat is a current club member, so remember to put on your current sticker or you will be told you wont be able to launch, remember if you sell your boat or jetski to take off your club sticker. as your old craft may well end up back on the river blackwater.
8th April 2008
Tractors: Please note safety chains have been attached to the dumpers and tractor, You will be required to attach the chain securely to your trailer whilst hitching it on either the tractor or dumper, Please also remember that it is your duty to attach the trailer to the dumper or tractor and then to return once your craft has been launched and unattach it, it is not the job of the Tractor or Dumper driver.
